SQ-40/SQ-60 is a organosilicon quaternary ammonium compounds and its chemical
structure as follows:

Properties
Appearance : Pale yellow liquid.
Chemical nature : Silane quaternary ammonium compound.
Active ingredient : 40%, 60%(( according to customer’s requirements)).
Solvents: Methanol, Isopropyl alcohol( or according to customer’s
requirements). Solubility : Miscible in all proportions with water.
Thermal stability : Stable up to 125ºC.

surface of wide variety of substrates, such as fibers, leathers, and other solid surfaces.
0 It is non-leaching & non-migrating & is not consumed by microorganisms.

Anti-microbial action is exhibited on contact.

Uses:
SQ-40/SQ-60 antimicrobial can be used to impart durable, broad-spectrum anti-microbial
protection to substrates for the following application.

Air filters for furnaces, air conditioners, air purification devices, automobiles, re-
circulation air handling systems.

Air filters / materials. Aquarium filter material

Bed sheets, blankets and bed spreads

Buffer pads (abrasive & polishing)

Carpet and draperies. Fiber fill for upholstery, sleeping bags, apparels etc. where the

Padding process:

Dissolve SQ-40/SQ-60 in the appropriate solvent (such as water) at desired
concentration.
Padding procedure : one dip-one nip.

Dry and cure at 120ºC for 5 mins.

Control S SQ-40/SQ-60 pick up at 4% to 10% o.w.f. (on weight of fabric).

Test the treated substrate by a modified AATCC-100 for antibacterial analysis before and
after washing procedure.
How to calculate SQ-40/SQ-60 pick-up:

Spraying process:

Dissolve SQ-40/SQ-60 in the appropriate solvent (such as water) at desired
concentration

Spray the solution on the substrate

Dry and cure at 80ºC for 30 mins (suitable for heat sensitive substrate)

Control SQ-40/SQ-60 pick up at 4% to 10% o.w.f.

Test the treated substrate by a modified AATCC-100 for antimicrobial analysis before and
after washing procedure

Storage:
This product may be stored upto six months in a sealed container. Containers should be stored in
a cool, dry area. Extended storage at elevated temperatures or exposure to direct heat or sunlight
could reduce product life. Keep containers sealed when not in use.
Packing: 25 & 200 kg HMHDPE containers（according to customer’s requirements）.
